Abdullahi Haruna (Haruspice)
Added to my learning curve is a second masters degree, this time around in mass communication – from the National Open University of Nigeria.
When I ventured into this program, I had the notion it would be a walk over of sorts – only to be greeted with the grim reality that to earn an honour from this school, you must be grilled in real time academic swotting.
The program honed my theoretical experience and made me fully understand the practical grasp of mass communication.
Special appreciation to my academic guide and mentor Dr Emmanuel Nathan Oguche and the commander of the Mining Marshals ACC John Onoja Attah whose revolutionary works in the mining sector inspired my thesis topic -Influence of newspapers’ Framing of Security Policy on NSCDC’s Response to Illegal Mining in Nigeria .
This is a dedicated feat to Mama Jenebu.
